Plot

Distant relatives Aunt Hedwig and Uncle Eugene are brought in to look after the Hunter children. The kids worry their relatives are more interested in the Hunter fortune than helping the family.^[1]

Trivia

This is one of two appearances of Aunt Hedwig and Uncle Eugene. This episode is one in which the main villain Saganash is not seen in. This includes Magpie, an art forger, who is forced into making them a fake blue diamond instead of the real blue diamond to trick Saganash. It also shows how Aunt Hedwig and Uncle Eugene want the house, even calling it 'our house' in front of Max.
This episode serves as the second appearance of Hedwig Hunter and the first appearance of Eugene Hunter.
Hedwig, despite having the chills after what she experienced in a secret room in the episode The Key, still lived inside the Hunters' house.
